Morgan offers an 8 week basic training program for horses of all disciplines. This training is like “grade school” for horses....building a solid foundation on your horse. Morgan’s basic training program consists of a series of ground work and riding exercises.
Horses are worked 5 to 6 days a week approximately 2 hours a day. Lessons are given to owners throughout the 8 week program so training can continue after “graduation” at home. Whether you desire a calm show arena horse or a pleasant trail horse,
Morgan’s program will give you a respectful and willing partner to ride. Contact Morgan to “jump start” your long-lasting and positive relationship with your horse. |
| My approach to NATURAL

which work WITH your horse's behavior, instinct, and
personality. |

safely building a foundation of respect and control to
enhance the relationship between you and your
horse. |
| I will show you how to
effectively communicate with your horse, using a

1 PERSON
1 OR MORE HORSES ~ 1 HOUR MINIMUM
2 HOUR MINIMUM (First Lesson Only)
Just learning Natural Horsemanship?
Morgan will design lessons especially for you. Learn the philosophy behind Natural Horsemanship and how it has improved communications between horses and their owners (30 minute first-lesson lecture). Learn the basic techniques to sensitize and desensitize your horse to be less spooky and more confident. Learn ground techniques to move your horse’s feet to increase your horse’s respect for you as a leader. And what you learn on the ground, will transform to under the saddle. You will build on your ground techniques for a more confident ride. Learn basic one-rein stops for confident control of your horse in any situation. Learn the techniques of riding with a loose rein and feel the confidence and trust build between you and your horse. Learn simple leg cues to move your horse off at a walk, trot, or canter and how your independent seat teaches a horse to stop without verbal command or reins.
Want to improve your Natural Horsemanship skills?
Morgan will show you step-by-step how to bridle and lead your horse with ease. Morgan will introduce advance sensitizing and desensitizing techniques. Learn techniques in circle driving, side passing and change of direction lunging with your horse. Advance your riding skills by learning techniques in lateral flexion at the walk, trot and canter; side passing off the fence and roll backs on the fence. These are just a few of the many areas Morgan can assist you in improving your horsemanship skills. Call and discuss with Morgan to design your own mini clinic specifically for your group. Clinic can consist of as few or many techniques or problems you wish to cover. For a more productive clinic, participants and horses should be at the same skill level.
Do you have a Problem Horse and need help with resolution?
Morgan will teach you step-by-step methods of correcting behavioral problems such as spooking and shying, stall vices, saddling, blanketing and bridling issues, aggression toward people, leading, grooming and tying concerns, feeding time misbehavior, bolting, rearing, bucking, head tossing and the most common, trailer loading.
Where and Cost:
Lessons can be at your place (approved by Morgan) or at Twin Palms Farm, home of Carolina Horsemanship. Lessons are designed specifically for you. Lesson fees are based by the hour. Contact Morgan for price.

Morgan takes up to fifteen (15) horses and riders, depending on arena size. Morgan works with horses and their owners on groundwork in the mornings and under saddle in the afternoons. There is a one hour lunch break between sessions. The actual process depends on the participant and their horses. Observers are welcomed and encouraged to ask Morgan questions during the clinic.
Horses have a definite communication program and Morgan can assist you in understanding and communicating with body language. Learning how to use your eyes, placement of your body and parts of your body to enhance effective communications is the basis of Morgan’s training program. You will learn a series of exercises to sensitize and desensitize your horse to be less spooky and more confident. You will learn techniques to move your horse’s feet in order to gain more respect and trust from your horse.
Techniques you learn on the ground will transfer to riding for a more confident ride. You will learn One-Rein Stops for confident control over your horse in any situation. You will learn the importance of riding on a loose rein and how confidence and trust will grow between you and your horse. Morgan will teach you simple leg cues to move off at a walk, trot or canter as well as guide and steer your horse. You will learn to ride with an independent seat in order to stop your horse without a verbal cue or reins.
Morgan’s goal in all of her teachings is to assist you in building a foundation of respect to enhance the relationship between you and your horse. You will learn how to "talk" to your horse and maybe more importantly, listen to them. You will be amazed at the results you see and achieve in such a short amount of time.
Don’t miss this “Seeing Eye to Eye” experience.
